These stories belong not only to the past, but also to the future.
The pioneers carried the first threads with faith, sacrifice, and courage. They built institutions, opened doors, served their neighbors, and prepared a place for generations they might never meet.
Now the thread has reached us. May we preserve what they entrusted to us, repair what has weakened, strengthen what remains, and continue weaving faith, compassion, unity, and service into Maryland’s unfolding history.
May Allah accept their sacrifices, forgive their shortcomings, and make their service a continuing charity for generations to come. Ameen.
“And say, ‘Work, for Allah will see your work, and so will His Messenger and the believers.’” Qur’an 9:105
