Gumnaam Sipahi
A Forgotten Soldier of the Pakistan Movement
Haji Syed Sajjad Husain never commanded a rally, never signed a treaty, and never appears in the history books that record how Pakistan came to be. He was a small-town worker in Shahpur and Fatehpur — a man of trade, faith, and family — who gave the Pakistan Movement his time, his household, and his loyalty, and asked for nothing in return.
Researched and written in Urdu by Dr. Syed Sajid Husain and rendered into English by another grandson, Syed Abid Husain, it is a portrait of an ordinary life lived at the center of an extraordinary moment. Both editions are free to read here.

The Generation
An Institutional History of the Islamic Society of Baltimore (ISB), 1967–2026
The Generation is the institutional history of the Islamic Society of Baltimore, one of the oldest Muslim institutions in Maryland. It runs from the living-room gatherings of the late 1960s to the community ISB serves today: the borrowed halls, the Shaffer Hall years, the land bought on 29 June 1981, the building of Masjid Al-Rahmah, and the presidents, imams, and families who carried each of those steps.
Drawn from oral histories, archival documents, and published sources, it sets down the names, decisions, and sacrifices of the founders and of those who carried the work forward.
